blink 2.0 Chicago Exhibit: Public Art Project

blink 2.0 is a group exhibition/ temporary public art project featuring 21 international artists. Works in photography, video, painting, collage, and more are projected in the second- floor windows of the One West Grand Avenue (the former Rock Bottom Brewery building).

Each window becomes a portal to other places, other times, other minds. Find yourself face-to-face with a stranger, contemplating technicolor moons, or exploring distant cities and landscapes.

Above you can see the video, shot live from the OPENING night of blink 2.0 at One West Grand Avenue in Chicago, Illinois!

My decision to feature paired down / simplified paintings was so that they were more readable from a distance- the images below are a few of my original oil paintings, projected in video format, included in this show.

Having art integrated into daily life makes this opportunity particularly special; there are 40,000 people that pass this intersection each day many who perhaps begin and end their day with some terrific visual stimulation!

Whether a coincidence or not, this painting titled Juicy sold the night of the opening! Huge thanks to SaatchiArt for aiding in the sale of this work! And to @DavidWong for presenting and coordinating this visual feast!
